I get mixed reactions when people notice me with a film camera, both skeptical responses and pure admiration. Most importantly, I love sharing my passion for film when a conversations starts with an unsuspecting onlooker who asks, “Is that a film camera?”

Started with film, moved to digital and now thankfully back to film for the past 5 years.  I like to look at the world differently – hence, many of my images are often hazy and out of focus.  Still a novice with using 35mm and medium film formats and yet to graduate to the larger formats.  Also not much good in the darkroom – still learning lots from the wealth of experience within the Monochrome Guild.

Born and educated in the U.K. from whence I left when I was 21 and have been traveling the world for work ever since.  Been lucky enough to have worked in every continent except Antarctica (which, by the way, is still on my bucket list – one day!).  Lived in Canada for the past 15 years and not looking at moving anytime soon, as there is so much to see and do in this vast beautiful country.  I am lucky as I travel lots for my work and often north of 60 where a totally different beautiful unspoilt world exists.  Goes without saying, I always have a camera with me and try to capture life and other interesting things.
